Glimmers of Hope

In the chambers of the United Nations,
A plea is made with heartfelt devotion,
Israel’s ambassador shares the tale,
Of Gaza’s hostages and their unyielding travail.

He implores the Assembly to not discourage,
To remember the plight of those still confined,
By Hamas’ grip that has not yet unwound.

Within the darkness, glimmers of hope do trace,
As nations unite to embrace and efface,
The suffering endured by these captive souls,

Let us not forget the dreams yet to soar,
