“Grounded Dreams”

Grounded Dreams

Title: “Grounded Dreams”

Flights cancelled, skies in disarray,
As dreams of travel fade away.
Regulator’s stern hand commands,
Boeing 737 Max 9s on grounded lands.

Birds of metal, once soared so high,
Now benched, their wings denied the sky.
Safety’s shadow, cast upon the day,
Where once there thrived a traveler’s ballet.

In airline lounges, whispers spread,
Passengers stare, filled with dread.
Muted hopes, once carried on their lips,
Now left hanging like forgotten ships.

Oh, how the mighty have swiftly fallen,
Grounded dreams, they call their solemn haven.
No lullabies of engines, roaring free,
Just emptiness, where once there was glee.

A turbulence of trust now reigns,
Decisions questioned, doubts remain.
While engineers toil, their plans revised,
Seeking solace in the truth disguised.

Yet hope shall not elude our sight,
For skies may clear, with time’s respite.
As lessons learned take flight once more,
Dreams shall soar, as they did before.
