Guardians of Liberty
Guardians of Liberty
In the realm of power, where leaders reside,
Their deeds influence the nation’s tides.
But when shadows of impunity veil their form,
Our faith in justice we incessantly mourn.
The past presidents, with total immunity embraced,
Nikki Haley’s voice, a clarion call impeccably placed.
For how can we accept this shield so unreal,
When fairness and equality are what we zeal?
Through history’s pages, we search for the wise,
Leaders who hold truth as their ultimate prize.
Yet, as our nation evolves, so too should our view,
Of the privileges that presidents somehow accrue.
For in the courtrooms, where fairness takes flight,
Trump’s team insists on wielding this right.
But Haley rebukes, with courage so resolute,
“That’s ridiculous,” she proclaims, her voice acute.
No man, no leader, should be above the law,
Regardless of title, rank, or sudden flaw.
As Lady Justice watches with her impartial eye,
Let her scales balance, free from falsehood’s sigh.
Let’s challenge the notion that immunity defines,
Presidential power, absolved of all crimes.
For these six words of truth we cherish and hold,
Justice, fairness, equality, profound and bold.
