Hidden Hate
Hidden Hate
In the land of endless plains, where freedom is its crown,
A lawmaker’s darkness was unconcealed; truth was finally known.
Caught in the headlights of his truth-distorting mind,
Homophobic slurs spewed forth, revealing his kind.
In the face of law and order, his bigotry was displayed,
A reminder that prejudice still lurks, not yet fully laid.
Behind the polished façade, his true self did emerge,
Words dripping with venom, hatred on the verge.
An officer showed restraint, doing his duty with pride,
While bigotry and ignorance tried to mark their stride.
But the bodycam captured it all, his venomous disdain,
A sobering reminder of the hate that still remains.
In a state known for its beauty, where tolerance should thrive,
This lawmaker’s words tarnished the very essence of life.
For love knows no boundaries, no limit to its grace,
Yet discrimination persists, a lingering disgrace.
Let us stand together, united against the hate,
And erase the prejudice that seeks to dominate.
