Hidden Serpents
Title: Hidden Serpents
Beneath my state’s guarded veil, a secret lies,
Where slithering venomous treasures reside,
Their location locked away, hidden from prying eyes,
Yet fate allowed me glimpse through nature’s guide.
Through rugged terrains, unknown and remote,
I ventured forth, fueled by curiosity and wonder,
In pursuit of these elusive serpents they devote,
To protect and preserve, amidst lightning and thunder.
A plethora of flora embraced the snake’s domain,
Giant cacti stood tall, guardians of the land,
Amidst sagebrush whispers and desert rain,
Their presence clandestine, a beauty so grand.
In hushed anticipation, I weaved through the wild,
Eyes vigilant, heart racing, the moment draws near,
An encounter with the rattlesnake, both fierce and mild,
A once-in-a-lifetime memory, forever held dear.
With bated breath, I stood before their elusive grace,
Their vivid patterns mesmerizing, blending with the earth,
A dance of survival, venom ready to embrace,
Each strike a testament to nature’s inherent worth.
The secret remains guarded, as it was meant to be,
But etched within my soul, their essence shall stay,
Forever in my heart, these serpents I shall see,
A testament to the vastness of nature’s endless array.
