In Loving Memory
Grief-stricken mourning for a tiny infant,
Carrying a tragic fate beyond all lament.
A horse-drawn carriage in Nottingham town,
Magically transporting the sorrowful sound.
Life was a hard-won battle, right from the start,
Held in the arms of his loving family’s heart.
Strength, courage and faith holding it all together,
Inviting us all to remember forever.
Tempered in life’s trials, good-hearted and kind,
Success further away than we ever could have imagined in mind.
Carrying his casket through the streets of town,
The sounds of mourning a tragic tale, spinning around.
Wonderment shrouded the services of peace,
Leading us all to reflect and to cease.
In loving memory of a tiny infant,
Though our souls remain, devastated and bent.
An unimaginable battle fought in one life,
A loving legacy of beauty and strife.
Honouring the memory of the little one,
For all who loved him, Indi Gregory’s gone.
