In Shadows Unseen: The Absence of Vote
In Shadows Unseen: The Absence of Vote
Under the moon’s gentle glow, a darkness crept,
Whispers of strife, echoes of secrets adept.
Why no debate, no Commons’ measured voice?
A nation wonders, yearning for a choice.
A land afar, battles in distant sands,
With midnight raids on Houthi-held lands.
But where was the call, the questioning despair?
In silence we watch, burdened with the unfair.
Democracy’s cornerstone, the power to decide,
Yet absent was the vote, casting doubts wide.
Why were we denied, our voices left unheard?
A plea for truth, for transparency preferred.
Debates were silenced, democracy opaque,
As unanswered questions cast shadows opaque.
The people’s plea for insight and control,
Forgotten in the story, buried in the scroll.
For the Yemenis suffering, voices yet suppressed,
A plea for accountability, a nation distressed.
Why was there no Commons vote on strife so deep?
The silence shattered souls, our longing to keep.
