In the Shadow of Threats
Title: In the Shadow of Threats
Harvard’s hallowed walls, once a beacon of light,
Now echo with whispers that shatter the night.
A woman of strength, untarnished in her stride,
Yet her brilliance, her color, a world can’t abide.
Police stand vigilant, their watch ceaseless and true,
Camouflaged guardians, protecting her through.
Against the storms of hatred, a fortress they build,
Forbidding intimidation to let their fear be stilled.
She walks with grace, among shadows that creep,
Silent prayers whispered, forever she’ll keep.
Masked in resilience, she withstands the storm,
As her vision of unity continues to transform.
Threats born of ignorance, their darkness takes flight,
Yet she stands tall, dispelling their might.
In the face of adversity, she holds her ground,
Her existence a testament, unbroken and profound.
A beacon she becomes, igniting the way,
For future generations, with soaring hearts, they’ll say,
That the first Black president left a mark, so bold,
Her spirit and courage, a tale to be told.
In the corridors of Harvard, her presence will stay,
A testament to progress, breaking barriers each day.
For she is the symbol of hope intertwined,
Harvard’s first Black president, forever in our minds.
