Inferno of the Kitchen

Dreadful night, a fearsome sight,
A calamity that torched their dreams,
A dishwasher ablaze, sparks alight,
Engulfed their haven in relentless streams.

Once a sanctuary, now consumed,
By fiery tendrils that roared and spat,
A couple’s haven now entombed,
In ashes of despair, their spirits flat.

No warning from the fateful machine,
An appliance trusted, now a betrayer,
Left them pondering what could have been,
As smoke-filled memories turned to vapor.

From flames emerged a newfound fear,
Their sanctuary near turned to ash,
But amidst the ruins, love stood clear,
And hope ignited in the rising flash.

Courage and resilience they upheld,
Rebuilding their home from charred remains,
Strength and love, their fortress unquelled,
Rising from ashes, victors and not in vain.
