Injury’s Cruel Caress
Injury’s Cruel Caress
Beneath the golden sun’s warm flare,
West Ham fans despair and fume,
Paqueta’s brilliance thwarted, Mavropanos’ despair,
Unyielding injuries cast a gloom.
The game’s rhythm disrupted, momentum lost,
As warriors of the pitch are forced to yield,
With shattered dreams and fortunes tossed,
Their absence leaves a void, a barren field.
Amongst the shattered hopes and hearts,
A knock befalls young Bowen, oh so cruel,
In this harsh reality, football’s darts,
Delicate dreams subject to fate’s cruel rule.
Yet even amidst the agony and pain,
Hope glimmers, ever steadfast and bright,
For in adversity, true strength we gain,
United we stand, embracing the fight.
West Ham, a resilient spirit shall prevail,
Injured warriors shall rise, stronger yet,
As they march forward, undeterred and hale,
In the face of darkness, a beacon they’ll set.
