Life on The Road
Out of control, a crash ensues,
Out of options, no time to lose,
Admitting guilt, a plea she must,
The consequence, a high cost thrust,
Life on the road, a battle of sorts,
A life of vigilance, alert and aware,
A symptom of roads burden so often to bear.
Speed limits turning into distant memory,
Misery, until an unavoidable calamity.
The warnings of a troubled life to a passenger unknown,
The law of the road, a long time now shown.
A comfort of their company, both a blessing and a curse,
The guilty plea so unavoidable, now from the hearse.
