Lost at Sea

Lost at Sea

Title: Lost at Sea

A somber tale unfolds, a night of woe,
A passenger, lost to depths below.
Off Charleston’s shores, amidst the waves’ scum,
A haunting cry escaped, “Someone’s gone!”

The Royal Caribbean cruise, bound for Bahama’s charms,
Now marred by tragedy, a soul in arms.
Travelers left helpless, helpless and dismayed,
As darkness claimed a life, a price was paid.

Sickness gripped their hearts, the pain so raw,
An instant feeling of despair and awe.
To the pool deck they fled, united in their goal,
To aid the rescue, to soothe a troubled soul.

The vast ocean’s abyss, an eternal mystery,
Swallowed hopes and dreams, beneath its history.
Yet, in the face of loss, compassion’s light shone bright,
Strangers banding together, guided by empathy’s might.

Now, in memories’ depths, a void remains,
A missing passenger, lost within the chain.
May they find peace in the embrace of the sea,
And may compassion guide all who sail, forever free.
