Lost in Shadows
Title: Lost in Shadows
In a courtroom cloaked in gloom,
A teenager faces a fate of doom,
His actions forever etching pain,
As innocence was shattered, lives slain.
Anguish fills the air, hearts torn apart,
Four classmates lost, their journey cut short,
A community gripped by sorrow’s embrace,
Left to grapple with this darkened space.
Oh, what despair in those tear-filled eyes,
As they questioned how and wondered why,
Seeking solace in memories they hold,
As tales untold and dreams unfold.
In a penitentiary, he shall now reside,
Whilst doubts and questions slowly subside,
A life once brimming with adolescence’s gleam,
Forever trapped by one horrific theme.
Behind bars, his youth will fade away,
As time’s relentless footsteps betray,
Reflecting on the choices that led him here,
He contemplates a future drowned in fear.
May justice and healing intertwine,
For the lives stolen, for the scars aligned,
May forgiveness bloom amidst the pain,
And hope, eventually, rise again.
