Lost Souls

In the halls of learning, tragedy struck,
A place of knowledge, now shrouded in muck,
Eleven lives taken, in a senseless act,
Innocent souls lost, never to come back.

Laughter turned to screams, as chaos ensued,
Fear spread like wildfire, hearts heavy and subdued,
The echoes of gunfire, pierced the sacred space,
Leaving behind a void, in this once peaceful place.

A community broken, forever scarred,
Cries of anguish, as loved ones wept and marred,
Yet amidst the darkness, sparks of unity rose,
Together, they would heal, and find strength in their throes.

For in each tragedy, resilience prevails,
Love conquers hate, and hope never fails,
May the memory of the fallen be forever imbued,
In every heart, a reminder, to fight for a world renewed.
