Lost Trust
Lost Trust
A lawmaker once respected, now accused,
Caught in a web of deceit and abuse,
North Dakota’s pride tainted with disgrace,
As justice unravels this unsettling case.
A bright star in the political skies,
Now tarnished, darkness clouds those eyes,
Promises broken, trust shattered like glass,
Will this corruption ever come to pass?
Whispers of greed hover in the air,
As truth reveals motives so unfair,
The people’s voice silenced, they bear the cost,
Their faith in democracy forever lost.
But in the face of this sorrowful plight,
A glimmer of hope emerges, shining bright,
The resilient spirit of a state so grand,
Will rise above, united hand in hand.
May justice prevail, swift and true,
Holding accountable the wrongdoer’s do,
So North Dakota, this land once pure,
Can heal its wounds and endure.
Though tainted by a lawmaker’s offense,
North Dakota’s beauty will still commence,
A reminder to all, the importance we find,
To protect integrity, for the good of mankind.
