Melting Arctic Ice
Snow-covered terrain of Northern Lights,
Now melting, as Global Warming takes flight.
Wolverines, habitats so dear,
Confined to mountains in dwindling numbers, so near.
Ice caps melting as temperatures rise,
Their homes are impacted, their lives underprise.
Chaos threatens species that call these places home,
And man’s intervention may make it too late to atone.
Trapped by changing climates, wildlife is harmed,
Healthy populations dwindle,stiming an alarm.
No more running the tundra, no more chasing prey,
The wolverines’ plight pulls on our hearts’ strings each day.
Cries of those endangered resonate with the land,
As cries unite to fight, for their homes’ final stand.
Restorative measures, like projects to save,
Aim to reintroduce wolverines to a lifesaver’s cave.
