New York Dream
A young immigrant with ardent yearning,
In a New York apartment made home;
He sought his aspirations, burning,
For the American dream he’d soon roam.
His hope and ambition were so tall,
That the long desired voyage so far;
His to sacrifice, with no recall,
A desire to work yielded reward.
Enduring the endeavor of progress,
Chance gave opportunity to rise;
The hardworking aspirant to impress,
His nation proud through his pursuit.
The promise of success sought by dream,
Belonging to home in New York City;
His aim of progress, to seem like gleam,
He persevered the mounting titty.
The courage to risk taken by him,
Education supplanted his lack;
The quest for knowledge to win,
Reinvention of fate on the track.
All led to success for his name,
Assimilation a culture so new;
His heritage a plight to claim,
Victory for nation, America true.
