plashed Sorrow)
(Splashed Sorrow)
Torrential rainfall’s wrath descend,
As darkened clouds their tears contend,
Through puddles vast, a reckless ride,
The heartless driver’s callous stride.
A family sought refuge near,
From nature’s fury, they did steer,
But Fate’s cruel hand played a trick,
Allowing havoc’s senses to prick.
Three disabled children did wait,
Their innocence, their tender gait,
A toddler in pushchair, so small,
Innocence bared, ready to fall.
With roars of engine, wheels did churn,
The driver’s heart a stone, forlorn,
He raced on by, with devil’s pride,
Deaf to their pleas, he did abide.
Head to toe, the water soared,
Through their very souls it roared,
Sobs joined raindrops in harmony,
As they stood, drenched in tragedy.
Injustice seared within their hearts,
As they search for solace amidst the smarts,
For love will conquer, heal the pain,
And dreams of justice shall remain.
