Title: Platforms Keep Them Separated

Dropped in our hearts like a disc,
Giving us hope that we’d see a mix,
Xbox Game Pass over to Nintendo,
It was a wish that that just couldn’t be.

“No Plans” was declared and discouraged,
Phil Spencer, our hope had been snuffed,
The pleads all fell on deafened ears,
Leaving us only with a broken huff.

It seemed that such a pipe dream scoffed,
Nintendo platforms wanted none of the Xbox,
We were left feeling so rejected,
Our hopes of unifying games had been blocked.

The dream we all so desperately wanted,
To merge two great gaming entities,
Was nothing but an unwelcomed notion,
Letting us know of Microsoft and Nintendo’s separation policies.

But all hope’s not lost, and we believe,
No matter what the corporate ploys be,
One day we’ll all unite together,
That is what all gamers truly strive to achieve.

So for now all we can do is hope,
That one day we’ll be able to mingle,
Xbox Game Pass on Nintendo Platforms,
Our desire for gaming mergence still lingers.
