Playing in the Sunshine

Playing in the Sunshine

Playing in the Sunshine

On a field bathed in golden rays,
Children laugh and chase the days.
But a shadow looms, casting a pall,
As freedom’s melody starts to fall.

Gone are the days of youthful delight,
Replaced by rules that stifle the fight.
For a simple game, a price they’ll pay,
Fines that threaten their innocent play.

At just ten years old, a tender age,
Our youth should roam without a cage.
But busybody orders now hold sway,
Denying children their right to play.

Football, a passion etched in their souls,
Now banned by a system that controls.
Laughter silenced, camaraderie restrained,
In the name of misguided restraints.

Let us remember the joy of our youth,
Embrace freedom, never forget its truth.
For in playful moments, life truly shines,
Let’s preserve the right to play in the sunshine.
