Price Gouging Fiasco

Producers had conspired to restrict supplies,
With hefty price gouging in the guise.
Damage done, exceeding eighteen million,
Consequences of which none will pardon.

Gouging these prices, what a disaster,
First time producers could not go faster.
Following the 2000s none could condone,
U.S. suppliers paying a hefty sum Alone.

All the damages, a dizzying cost,
No one quite sure of the total lost.
Inflated costs, all without due sense,
Affecting the producers like a dense heavy fence.

None could predict the costs on the whole,
Usurping resources beyond control.
With fingers pointed, no true path laid,
Minutes, days, further damages made.

Luckily remedied with millions paid,
Still to be fully resolved, not delayed.
Returned to regularity, it needs to stay,
Price Gouging Fiasco, to resolve each day.
