Punishment of Greed

Title: Punishment of Greed
A Democratic congressman found guilty of wrongs,
Manipulation, bribery, and eight others so strong,
Lead to an expulsion of him from the House,
Hypocrisy of a politician that did share his views.
Conviction of this man was clear for all to see,
Corruption so deep that George Santos was made the scapegoat for his greed,
Leading to an expulsion of far more than disgrace,
For a man that sought riches, only a shelter remained in place.
Manipulation has a price and in deeds it was paid,
Bribery convicted with much of his wealth to be traded,
Expulsion should be cautionary to those that seek gain,
By hypocrisy of men no riches can remain the same.
Conviction in court is hard to withstand,
Corruption of heart leads to no friend,
Manipulation of greed is the thief of life,
Bribery of a man’s morals is something of a strife.
Expulsion from the House is an iron-clad rule,
Hypocrisy of man’s actions should be the leading school,
Conviction of heart is needed for the right to Thrive,
Corruption not to seek as moral duty to survive.
