Reckless Echoes

Reckless Echoes

Title: Reckless Echoes

In the wake of migrant bus arrivals,
Chicago’s mayor calls out with might,
Voices rise, passions ablaze,
A reckless whirlwind taking flight.

Leaders clash, with fervor and zeal,
A battle waged in words and strife,
Division deepens, wounds are dealt,
In this turbulent, disruptive life.

But amidst the storm, a plea for calm,
To hear the cries of those in need,
In compassion’s embrace, let’s rise,
Plant the seeds of unity, let them breed.

For in this vast and fragile world,
Where souls can shatter or take flight,
Let understanding be our guide,
To mend what’s broken, make it right.

Chicago, a city diverse and bold,
Speaks against the raging tides,
Advocating for justice and grace,
As compassion within us abides.
