Resignation of Integrity
Title: Resignation of Integrity
A noble institution, renowned and revered,
Harvard’s prestige, tarnished, disbelief steered.
The president’s resignation, a storm knew,
Amidst plagiarism claims, a tale that grew.
Backlash echoed, reverberating cries,
Accusations of deceit pierced through the skies.
Testimony at an antisemitism hearing,
Ignited flames of anger, ablaze searing.
Once a beacon, a paragon of the wise,
Now besmirched, truth cast aside, in disguise.
How could it be, a leader adored,
Would succumb to dishonesty, false accord?
In the hallowed halls, echoes of dismay,
A chorus of disappointment, hearts in disarray.
Where knowledge once thrived, a void now remains,
As trust erodes, scars inflict lasting pains.
Integrity, a virtue demanded, not feigned,
For without it, the empire is stained.
Lessons learned, not easily forgotten,
From this saga, wisdom we have begotten.
May Harvard rise anew, reclaim its name,
With leaders forged in truth, honor aflame.
Let this tale be a caution, forever etched,
That integrity cannot be betrayed or fetched.
