Road of Neglect

Road of Neglect

Road of Neglect

The road, a tattered canvas, lies unrestored,
With craters deep enough to swallow light,
MP’s fury, indignant and ignored,
As the potholes grow, they mock his might.

Fed-up locals, victims of this plight,
Two tyres burst, a weekly lament,
Their anger fueling their collective fight,
For a road that’s safe, their tireless dissent.

Neglected, this road, as if marked for torment,
Each pothole a reminder of negligence,
Yet hopes persist, a distant sentiment,
For a smoother path, release from penance.

Fury, negligence, anger, plight, fight, dissent
