Searching for Clues
in each stanza
Title: Searching for Clues
Bewilderment grips the hearts of men,
Uncertainty known only too well,
When desperate search brings no end,
Grief a sorrowful tale to tell.
Gloom settles around the search site,
No trace of the airplanes flight,
Trembling hands writing of seven lost lives,
Loss that cuts deeper than night.
Yearning for relatives to be found,
Search spread further still,
Peace made impossible by the sound,
Of the wailing wind’s loud shrill.
Hope the only comfort today,
A second chance to look for clues,
Angels listening in silent prayer,
Holding tight the fading news.
Grief abates but longing remains,
The fate of those at sea unknown,
Though darkness night still claims,
Still a glimmer of hope is shown.
