As New Year’s dawned, in Texas so bright,
A peaceful home, bathed in warm glowing light,
Suddenly shattered, by a fearful fright,
Swatting came calling, to spread chaos and blight.

Knocking on doors, with sinister might,
Innocence tarnished, tranquility took flight,
Innocent lives entrusted, with fear now alight,
Swatting’s cruel game, plays in the dark night.

A callous act, born of malice and spite,
An unerring desire, to cause undue fright,
But amidst the darkness, hope dares ignite,
For justice will triumph, dispelling the night.

Courage and resilience, in the face of this plight,
Strong hearts united, we shall alight,
Together we stand, in the fight for what’s right,
Amidst the chaos, we shall reclaim our light.
