Shadows of Exploitation
Title: Shadows of Exploitation
In the land of dreams and sunny skies,
A dark secret concealed, hidden from prying eyes.
California’s poultry supplier, a monstrous guise,
Employing innocent children, where hope slowly dies.
Tender souls robbed of their childhood’s mirth,
Destinies set adrift, chained sinuously to the earth.
Stolen wages, embezzled dreams, a twisted girth,
Their innocence crushed, a callous act of dearth.
Within these factory walls, their little hands toil,
Creating profits for villains who selfishly spoil.
Their laughter replaced with tears, the young coil,
A sinister web spun, innocence wrapped in turmoil.
Behind the scenes, exploited souls suffer silently,
Undocumented whispers lost in the shadows, constantly.
But the Labor Department steps forth defiantly,
Their voice an anthem, proclaiming justice eloquently.
From the darkness, rays of hope now emerge,
A glimmer of salvation as truth begins to surge.
Advocates arise, their voices proud, yet stern,
To rid this land of darkness, never to return.
Let these verses expose, inspire, and ignite,
An outcry against injustice with all of our might.
For the children who toil, in their innocence smite,
Together let’s fight, restore their futures shining bright.
