Shadows of Strife
Title: Shadows of Strife
In shadows cast by mounting strife,
A border officer lost his life,
With sacrifice that speaks so deep,
His duty bound, forever we weep.
As bombs ignite and shatter dreams,
The land bleeds in sorrowful streams.
Midst echoes of the gunfire’s roar,
Another victim falls to the floor,
A man, now silent, standing tall,
Loved ones mourn, the world appalls,
Through heartache’s veil, their sorrows creep,
The West Bank weeps, the hillsides steep.
Amidst the conflict’s ceaseless glow,
A dance of pain, a tragic show,
The bullets fly, the hatred grows,
Like tangled vines, where peace once rose,
Yet hope persists, a guiding light,
For unity to conquer night.
As turmoil rages, conflicts flare,
Communities divided, unaware,
But love remains, a beacon bright,
That lights the path through darkest night.
To heal the wounds, bind all the scars,
And build a future free from wars.
From Gaza’s shores to Bethlehem’s gate,
The shattered peace, we must reinstate,
With empathy and open hearts,
We tread beyond our static charts,
To bridge the chasms deep and wide,
And walk hand in hand, side by side.
For in this land, where sorrows roam,
With unity, we’ll find a home,
To build a future strong and just,
Where trust can bloom, and hearts can trust,
Though burdened with a painful past,
Together, we’ll ensure it will not last.
