Shadows of the Past

Shadows of the Past

Title: Shadows of the Past

In the depths of love, shadows start to creep,
As I stumble upon the secrets that she keeps.
My heart now questions, the faith it bestowed,
Will her connection with her ex ever erode?

A presence lingers, a ghost from the past,
Tainting our future, casting shadows so vast.
Jealousy whispers, planting seeds of doubt,
Can I trust her completely? I stand here devout.

She claims it’s platonic, this bond they still share,
But the way they converse, it leaves me aware.
Their memories haunt me, like a lingering mist,
Will our love falter, overwhelmed by this twist?

I yearn for assurance, a sign of her trust,
To quell the storm brewing, before it combusts.
For without transparency, love cannot grow,
And the seeds of doubt, will continue to sow.

Yet, I take a deep breath, and choose to believe,
That our love is stronger than the webs they conceive.
With open communication, we’ll find our way through,
And create a new path, for me, her, and you.
