Shattered Innocence

Shattered Innocence

Title: Shattered Innocence

In skies once painted bright and blue,
A tale unfolds, too dreadful to construe.
Eyes wide open, my innocence quelled,
As sinister secrets within me swelled.

Dark shadows cast upon my mind,
The truth revealed, cruel and unkind.
A world disguised in twisted disguise,
Unveiling secrets before unseen by my eyes.

Whispers of horror, echoing through the night,
My innocence lost, consumed by fright.
Whispering winds carry disturbing rhymes,
Unveiling the darkness of these troubled times.

Haunted memories, haunting dreams,
Reality shattered, torn at the seams.
But within this abyss, I find resilience anew,
For even in darkness, a flickering hope accrues.

Though innocence may falter, it shall not fall,
For within the darkness resides strength to recall.
And in this darkness, a lesson is learned,
Into life’s abyss, we are all eventually turned.
