Shattered Promises
Title: Shattered Promises
Body:
In swing state’s heart, the Muslims sway,
A voice that cannot be ignored today.
Their unity thunders, clear and loud,
Promises bruised, trust disavowed.
War’s specter looms upon the shore,
Uncertainty lingers, hearts in uproar,
Biden’s stance, like a tempest’s gust,
Leaving no choice but broken trust.
Once believers in hope, faith, and change,
Now torn asunder, feelings estranged.
Their votes, once cast with hope’s embrace,
Now waver in doubt, lost in the chase.
Their voices rise, in chorus they cry,
A pledge to never stand idly by.
United they stand, a determined force,
With convictions renewed, they plot their course.
In twenty-four, their allegiance’ll shift,
A collective resolve, a powerful rift,
No longer blinded by political charade,
They fight for justice, undeterred, unswayed.
Betrayed by shadows of war, they perceive,
Seeking solace, answers they cleave.
Their hearts once warmed by campaign trails,
Now chilled by broken promises and tales.
With ballots as weapons, their cry will demand,
Accountability and truths close at hand.
No more empty words or hollow decree,
A swing state’s Muslims yearn to be free.
Their faith rekindled, determination aflame,
To rectify wrongs, to reclaim their name.
In twenty-four, a rupture will persist,
For their convictions now, they’ll firmly exist.
