Shifting Sands of China’s Demise
Title: Shifting Sands of China’s Demise
In a land once prized, now breathes a solemn sigh,
China’s population wanes, its descent sure and sly.
A record plunge, relentless and stark,
As life slips away, leaving shadows in the dark.
COVID’s merciless grip, a culprit with no remorse,
Taking lives, ravaging flesh, steering off course.
Death tolls rise, stifling hope in its wake,
An unyielding storm sweeping all in its quake.
Fertility falters, as birthrates plummet low,
Silent cries echo, a future veiled in woe.
The cradle remains empty, devoid of a sound,
Aching hearts yearning, lost dreams abound.
A nation once teeming, vibrant and alive,
Now counting the cost as its essence does contrive.
Time’s cruel whispers paint a somber scene,
Of a China reinventing, its identity unseen.
Lands of ancient stories, steeped in rich history,
Now eulogizing a chapter torn, shrouded in mystery.
Ghosts of the past linger, amidst the dwindling throng,
Remnants of a legacy fading, singing a sorrowful song.
Yet in this fading twilight, seeds of strength persist,
Resilient hearts beat on, a flame that can’t resist.
China’s spirit endures, a phoenix poised to rise,
From the ashes it shall ascend, ready to claim the skies.
