Silent Sighs

Silent Sighs

Silent sighs escape the barren shores,
As Lake Powell mourns the loss it endures.
Once brimming with life, now a fading dream,
Drought’s merciless grip has severed its gleam.

The sunken depths reflect a haunting tale,
Of shattered echoes and a dwindling sail.
Where once majestic cliffs stood proud and tall,
Now unveils a weary soul’s desperate call.

As water recedes, a world starts to fade,
Nature’s resilience tested, betrayed.
The echoes of creatures, forever lost,
Their existence, a testament too high a cost.

Yet amidst despair, a shimmer of light,
A plea for change – to preserve, ignite.
For as nature weeps, we must rise above,
To protect this treasure, our collective love.
