Silent Struggle

Silent Struggle

Title: Silent Struggle

Struggling to stay sober during this festive time,
A battle unfolds against a world that loves to imbibe.
The allure of merriment and cheer so hard to resist,
But with courage and strength, I persist.

Holiday parties tempt me with their flowing cheer,
But I must remain steadfast, my goal crystal clear.
Resisting the urge, I stand tall and strong,
Fighting the battle against alcohol’s siren song.

The pressure mounts, as loved ones celebrate with glee,
While I silently fight this war within me.
But I won’t be defeated, I won’t let it consume,
For there’s joy to be found, even when I don’t consume.

Speak not of weakness, for sobriety is my might,
A choice I make each day and every night.
In this battle against tradition’s sway,
I reclaim my power, and find my own way.

So, let the revelry go on, it won’t be my demise,
For I’ve embraced strength and the spirit of the wise.
In the face of temptation, I’ll rise above,
For staying sober during the holidays is an act of self-love.
