Silent Sufferers

Silent Sufferers

Silent Sufferers

In squalor’s grip, their spirits waned,
Locked away, their innocence stained.
A small garage, once a haven of despair,
Became their prison, a place of nightmare.

Officers charged in a daring raid,
Rescue ensued, a glimmer of aid.
One hundred fifty souls, saved from strife,
Embrace freedom, the chance for a new life.

Fear trembling in their wide-eyed gaze,
Their bodies weary from countless days.
But hope arises, a beacon of light,
As love and care heal their wounds, so tight.

Owner’s cruelty now laid to bare,
Facing justice for a heartless affair.
For these voiceless souls who knew not their worth,
The day has come, redemption taking birth.

Animals, rescue, squalor, charges, cruelty, hope.
