Skipping the Nutcracker

Skipping the Nutcracker

Title: Skipping the Nutcracker

In this sparkling winter wonderland,
Where sugarplums and dreams collide,
I hear the whispers of an extravagant plan,
But my wallet begs to stay inside.

The enchantment beckons from afar,
But $1,400 for a single night?
I must decline this price too bizarre,
And find solace in a different light.

Skipping ‘The Nutcracker’ this year,
Doesn’t mean tradition’s lost its charm,
In cozy blankets, hot cocoa near,
I’ll venture where funds won’t cause alarm.

While others pirouette in velvet attire,
I’ll waltz with memories of seasons past,
Finding joy in simpler moments entire,
Where love and laughter forever last.
