Stephen Fry’s Plea

Stephen Fry’s Plea

Stephen Fry’s Plea

Oh, King’s Guard, proud and brave,
Adorned in bearskin caps they rave,
Yet Stephen Fry now lends a voice,
Calling for an ethical choice.

Let cruelty not grace their crown,
Let compassion be what’s renowned,
For fur so sacred should not be,
A symbol of our royalty.

The time has come, let’s make a stand,
Embrace a future that is grand,
With faux alternatives, instead,
Let’s spare the lives of bears that tread.

Stephen Fry, a voice so true,
Urges change, a rightful cue,
Let bearskin be a myth of past,
And compassion’s reign forever last.
