Stolen Reflections

Stolen Reflections

Title: Stolen Reflections

In shadows’ grasp, my trust was betrayed,
By a brother’s turmoil, addiction’s trade,
He swiped my jewelry, memories decayed,
A thief of hearts, he won’t apologize, it seems.

Glimmering treasures, now a painful void,
Silent whispers of memories destroyed,
Yet forgiveness lingers, longing to be employed,
Amidst a shattered bond, the yearning gleams.

Addiction’s clutches, relentless and cruel,
A battle won, yet the aftermath, a duel,
Though remorse eludes like a crafty fool,
Resentment festers, a wound that teems.

Amidst the wreckage, a plea finds a voice,
Seeking redemption, a chance to rejoice,
But my ex-addict brother remains a choice,
Denying restitution as time redeems.

Yet, I’ll hold on to hope, though dim the light,
For healing’s footsteps may take their flight,
A mending of souls, the distant sight,
Forgiveness, the key to unlock these dreams.
