Storm Gerrit’s Wrath
Storm Gerrit’s Wrath
Destruction unleashed by fierce tornado’s pounce,
Leaving homes shattered, hopeless and forlorn.
Manchester’s mourning, in ruins they denounce,
As nature’s fury rampages, the heart torn.
Gales roaring at 85mph, wild and untamed,
Rain pouring relentlessly, an unyielding flood.
Train and ferry systems, chaos unrestrained,
Blacking out homes, voices submerged in the mud.
Britain deluged, soaked by the storm’s heavy hand,
Torrents of water drown the land’s very core.
Yet amid this struggle, strength makes a bold stand,
In unity we rise, resilience at our core.
Storm Gerrit, we face you, undeterred and proud,
Rebuilding the fragments, standing tall against the storm.
