Technology and the Law

All of Montana, the first to take a stand,
Banning TikTok to ensure the nation’s health.
But then the judge stepped in to voice his own demand,
Calling the ban unconstitutional at best.

Technology and law, like oil and water, have a mix,
Which the judge now uses to lawfully dismiss.
His ruling is swiftly read in an ever-growing vortex,
From the court house steps, the news is broadcasted around the world…I guess.

Still, the people of Montana remain steadfast in their stance,
Wondering how the judge could almost instantly quash.
Banning the app, they thought, was certainly worth chance,
Even if changing the law, they did not wish.

For the moment, the judge is supreme, as opinions wobble and sway,
The US of A is a nation of laws which comes into play.
The process of our government can be used a shield of defense,
We will just have to wait until the next routine check.
