The Call of the Sea
Title: The Call of the Sea
A US vet, craving peace, Bangkok did lure,
To start anew, his retirement secure,
Yet city life’s chaos, it proved to be,
Far from the serenity he longed to see.
So hand in hand, with his beloved spouse,
They sought solace where the waves did rouse,
A tranquil retreat, a home by the sea,
Where happiness would blossom and hearts roam free.
The salty breeze kissed their sun-kissed skin,
As they built their haven, their dreams begin,
Nurtured by love and nature’s gentle caress,
A sanctuary emerged, pure bliss to possess.
No longer confined by concrete and steel,
They reveled in sunsets, a love they could feel,
Embracing the simplicity life did unfold,
In harmony with nature, their spirits consoled.
Days were spent chasing waves and seagulls’ flight,
Nights, under starlit skies, in each other’s sight,
Mirrored in nature’s beauty, their souls would soar,
Content in each moment, together, they’d explore.
The US vet found solace where the sea meets land,
Releasing the tensions, his heart and mind demand,
From Bangkok’s chaos, he sought his reprieve,
And found his paradise, a home he’d never leave.
