The Cry of the Workers
Title: The Cry of the Workers
In the vast halls of knowledge they toil,
A symphony of minds, with passion and sweat,
Yet disregard greets them, a cruel coil,
As meager offerings their worth beset.
A chorus of discontent now emerges,
Nearly 30,000 strong, united and bold,
For respect and justice their voice surges,
Their livelihoods demanding to uphold.
Years of dedication and sacrifice,
Met with a gesture of a paltry sum,
Their spirits yearn for a fair paradise,
Where dignity and fairness should never succumb.
The largest university, a bastion of knowledge,
Should embody the values it imparts,
For a truly learned society to acknowledge,
The rightful claim of labor in their hearts.
Solidarity and strength their anthem,
Striking chords of change, they sing anew,
Their battle cry echoes, the workers’ anthem,
An ode to the importance of the many, not the few.
