The Echoes of War

The Echoes of War

Title: The Echoes of War

In lands where tensions mount, on East Asia’s shore,
A leader’s words ignite the flames, burning evermore.
North Korea’s Kim proclaims, with fire in his gaze,
The call to arms, to obliterate foes in a blazing blaze.

The drums of war resound, across the dividing line,
In darkness, shadows dance, ‘neath a moon that doesn’t shine.
United States and South Korea stand brave, unwavering,
A showdown of strength, on a treacherous tightrope balancing.

But amidst the seething rage, in this perilous verse,
Let us not forget the human lives, caught in the curse.
For beneath the rhetoric, lies a people’s anguish,
Torn by division and fear – their dreams relinquished.

As missiles soar, and bombs explode, with each breathless fight,
May we yearn for peace, erased from the mind’s sight.
For only through understanding, compassion, and grace,
Can we thwart the dark abyss, and find a tranquil space.
