The End of an Era

A great leader since he was young,
Human Rights advocate and Nobel laureate,
Henry Kissinger is sadly gone,
Polarizing, Influential Secretary of State.

His controversial reign has ended,
Graduate of Harvard and Columbia he,
Achievements that never will be bended,
United States foreign policy set in history.

Marked his passing in the nation,
Broadly educated in academics and diplomacy,
Highly respected around the station,
A hundred years of life: a very long eternity.

Now in the spirit world, let given honor,
For a man whose influence on the Earth is great,
Until we meet again the soul in valor,
Kissinger leaves many to remember and celebrate.
