The Exchange
Title: The Exchange
In shadows dance a clandestine affair,
A swap of souls concealed beneath a cloak,
A shifting fate, a game of truth or dare,
As whispers spin a tale, both sly and woke.
With Venezuela grasped by Maduro’s hold,
The stage was set for a high-stakes exchange,
To free the land from tyranny untold,
Ten Americans sought freedom’s sweet estrange.
Among the captives, a figure notorious,
‘Fat Leonard,’ a man of secrets profuse,
His name etched deep in tales oft glorious,
His moral compass spoiled, led him to abuse.
As darkness fades, the dawn unfolds anew,
Ties severed, comrades born of different soil,
The weight of justice wrapped in red, white, blue,
Broken chains echo freedom’s timeless coil.
In this exchange, a dance of liberty,
A glimmer of hope, a future undismayed,
Hope swells within the hearts of the set free,
For justice finds its way, no alliance swayed.
