The Fall of Innocence

The Fall of Innocence

Title: The Fall of Innocence

In shadows dwells a tale of sin and shame,
Where trust was crushed and purity defiled,
A priest, once virtuous, played a twisted game,
With an 18-year-old he had beguiled.

He fled to Italy, seeking refuge and disguise,
But across the oceans, guilt follows like a ghost,
The Vatican’s gaze cast upon his lies,
Removing the tainted cloth that covered his post.

A shepherd corrupted, casting aside his flock,
Leaving scars on hearts that once believed,
In the hallowed sanctuary, a severing shock,
As the helm of priesthood no longer he received.

But what of the youth, ensnared by his charm,
A victim entrapped by a figure revered,
Innocence lost beneath an unholy arm,
A soul forever scarred as he disappeared.

Oh, the darkness that looms within sacred spaces,
Where evil finds solace in the sacred cloth,
May justice find its way through the hidden traces,
And heal the wounds of those left in the shadows of wrath.

Let us gather strength, voices intertwined,
To expose the predators hiding in plain sight,
For the fallen angels, justice we shall find,
And protect the vulnerable with all our might.
