The Grace of Racing

The Grace of Racing

Title: The Grace of Racing

A spirit of strength, in thunderous hoofbeats,
Shall echo through fields of Southwell’s expanse,
As wild manes dance, with a heart that beats,
The sleek form of horses, in graceful prance.

Newcastle’s track, alight with blazing speed,
Gallop and soar, with wings on their feet,
The bravest of jockeys, with trust and creed,
Craving the triumph, a moment so fleet.

Kempton, a stage where dreams take the reins,
Where destiny’s thread, spins webs on the course,
A poet’s lullaby, easing racing pains,
Carrying hopes, unleashing wild discourse.

In this symphony of pounding hearts’ delight,
The odds and fortunes converge in the chase,
Passion ignites, under skies dark as night,
As champions rise, leaving dreams in their wake.

Thrills dissipate, with the setting sun’s fire,
Leaving echoes in the stands and the soil,
For with each race’s end, dreams still aspire,
A testament to love, that never can spoil.
