The Hidden Legend
The Hidden Legend
In darkness veiled, a legend fades away,
A titan once revered, now lost from sight,
Haunted by shadows of a mournful day,
A shattered heart that yearned for whispered light.
A father’s burden, heavy and profound,
Regret’s cruel echo, ever ringing true.
His brilliance once adorned the football field,
Majestic prowess, unmatched and divine,
Yet, sorrow’s tempest ne’er ceased to wield,
A gripping ache, with every step in line.
A ‘bad father’ claimed, whispered with disdain,
His legacy obscured, tarnished by the pain.
Scandal’s cruel injustice cloaked his name,
Allegations cast, corruption’s cruel game,
A web of lies, deceiving and unkind,
A beacon’s blaze reduced to ash and rind.
But deep within, a battle he did wage,
To shield his soul from cruel judgment’s cage.
Leagues of followers mourned his silent fall,
The king who faded, veiled to all the crowd,
Yet, deep within his heart, he heard the call,
To seek redemption in a shroud of shroud.
A legend’s whispers still run through the air,
A fallen titan, burdened by despair.
