The Mask’s Resurgence

The Mask's Resurgence

Title: The Mask’s Resurgence

In A&E, I witness the depths of despair,
Where hope flickers thinly in the frigid air.
As a doctor, I’ve seen the toll this virus takes,
And now, a new variant, mankind’s foundation shakes.

Once, we believed the worst was behind,
But this foe resurfaces, relentless and unkind.
With masks in hand, we battled through the night,
Yet complacency has dimmed our vigilance’s light.

Each breath carries a tale of sorrow and pain,
Lungs gasping for air, victims of this bane.
Mask up, dear friends, for the sake of us all,
Until the day our world is free from this thrall.

Let’s shield the vulnerable, our loved ones too,
For in unity we discover strength anew.
Cover your nose and mouth with a simple cloth,
Embrace this safeguard and shun the virus’s wroth.

A mask may seem meek, a mere barrier thin,
But it holds the potential to avert chaos within.
Together, let’s rise, as one we shall stand,
Adorned with masks, protecting our land.

So, A&E’s plea echoes loud and clear,
To combat this foe, there’s no time to veer.
Let’s don our shields, this battle we’ll brave,
With masks firmly in place, our souls we shall save.
